How does CEEF Benefit John Muir? CEEF provides funds to John Muir through the districtwide elementary school music program and site discretionary matching funds for arts and technology resources. Site discretionary funds are raised through CEEF's annual Gala and Golf Tournament. Over the past three years, John Muir has received $19,000 from CEEF for our visual arts program, art supplies, and cultural assemblies, as well as for technology hardware and software. John Muir has also received over $177,182 from CEEF for library books, professional development for teachers, emergency kit supplies, classroom sets of children's literature, and science materials over the past two decades. In school year 2009-2010, CEEF will provide: - $300,000 to sustain the certificated music program in grades 4-5
- $100,000, distributed on a per pupil basis, for music in grades 1-3 at all 20 elementary schools
- $75,000 toward site discretionary matching grants for arts and/or technology resources at all 25 district schools
- $100,000 for math professional development for teachers that will help to better prepare our students to compete at a world class standard.
Over the past two decades, CEEF has granted over $12 million to the district to support districtwide literacy, math, science, arts and technology programs. CEEF Cares!
