SCHOLARSHIPS PATRICIA A. LAMSON READING LITERACY SCHOLARSHIPS The Patricia A. Lamson Reading Literacy Endowment Fund awards two $400 scholarships to district teachers annually through a competitive application process. Scholarships are awarded to support professional development and/or materials which will enhance classroom reading instructions. Priority is given to explicit phonics instruction.

Judging Art teachers from the five district middle schools, distinguished artists and representative from the Euphrat, San Jose and Triton Museums of Art will be invited to participate in the judging. Entries will be judged on creativity, mastery of the medium, and theme development. Prizes First Place: $250 Second Place: $10 Third Place: $50 HENRY Y. CHEW FAMILY LEGACY FUND The Henry Y. Chew Family Legacy Fund provides endowment funding for the perpetual benefit of students and teachers at Nimitz Elementary School. Funds are distributed annually in May. |
